A new version of VOPT from Golden Bow systems is now out! Vopt 9 now works with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 (even the 64 bit version!). VOPT by Golden Bow Software is one of the fastest defragmentation programs on the market. Both George and I have been using it for over 9 years and it has not crashed a system! It has been very reliable and stunningly FAST!  When you run the Windows  defragmentation program, you have to leave it run overnight, it takes sooooo.... long, whereas with Vopt, you don't even have time for a coffee break!

One of the things that I find is very useful is the Cleanup in Vopt. You can select which items you want to delete:

And then when it is done it tells you what it did- it is ALWAYS good to Cleanup:

As they say, time is money, and VOPT saves lots of time and helps prevent defragmentation problems with your hard disk. The current thinking is to defragment your hard disk at least weekly.
